CineCulture will present “Maborosi” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in the Peters Education Center Auditorium. Haunted by the mysterious loss of her grandmother many years ago, Yumiko, a young mother, struggles to come to terms with the sudden loss of her husband. Yumiko remarries and moves to her new husband’s home in a remote village on the Sea of Japan, where she is haunted by the past.
In Japanese with English subtitles. Dr. Ed EmanuEL will direct a discussion following the film. CineCulture is a film series provided as a service to Fresno State students, faculty, staff and the community. Admission is free and parking is free in lots P3 and P2.
