CineCulture will present a free-screening of “The Long Shadow” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in the Peters Education Center Auditorium located inside the Student Recreation Center. Maureen Gosling, editor and co-creator, and Jed Riffe, producer, will host a discussion following the film.

“The Long Shadow” follows two white Southern filmmakers across New Orleans, Virginia, Mississippi and Canada, as they travel the roads of oppression and suppression to reveal the connections of slavery and strong-arm Southern politics to the current racial strife in America. Parking is free in lots P3 and P2. The screening is sponsored by the Fresno State Africana Studies Program.
