WordFest 2019 will feature craft talks and a performance from authors Steven Sanchez, Yazmin Monet Watkins and Li-young Lee on Saturday, Feb. 23. Steven Sanchez, the author three books including “Phantom Tongue,” will hold a craft talk at 9:30 a.m. in Henry Madden Library 3212. Yazmin Monet Watkins, spoken word poet, actress and content creator will speak at 11:15 a.m. in HML 3212 followed by a 1 p.m. performance in the USU Pit, outside of the food court.

Li-young Lee, the author of five critically acclaimed books including “The Undressing,” will hold a craft talk at 3 p.m. in HML 3212. An evening reading with Steven Sanchez and Li-Young will be held at 7 p.m. in the Alice Peters Auditorium (PB 191). WordFest is presented by the San Joaquin Literary Association and the Master of Fine Arts Program in Creative Writing at Fresno State.
