Fresno State flags at half-staff July 23 for former Justice Stevens

Per a proclamation signed by President Donald J. Trump, Fresno State’s national and state flags will fly at half-staff until sunset on July 23, the day of funeral services for former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who died on July 16 at age 99. Stevens was named to the Supreme Court in 1975 by President Gerald Ford.

He wrote some 400 majority opinions before retiring in 2010. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery in a private service.
