Film director Santiago Esteinou will participate in a post-screening discussion following CineCulture’s presentation of “The Years of Fierro” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6. As the oldest Mexican prisoner on death row in the United States, César Fierro has been languishing in a Texas prison for almost 40 years. He continues to await execution by lethal injection for a murder that evidence suggests he did not commit. The free screening will be held in the Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center. Parking is free after 4 p.m. on Fridays. CineCulture is a film series provided as a service to Fresno State students, faculty, staff and the community.
