The community is invited to the annual celebration of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s birthday at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the Peace Garden, north of the Henry Madden Library. The program includes a garlanding ceremony, musical tributes, classical dance and a pledge against hate and violence. Special guests include consul Summati Rao, representing ambassador Sanjay Panda, Indian Consulate Office in San Francisco and dignitaries from the city and county of Fresno.
