Rita Faden, president of the Luso-American Development Foundation will present a talk on “Portugal, the European Union and the Transatlantic Relations” at 6 p.m. Oct. 14, at the University Business Center (Room 191). Faden has had a long career administering Portugal’s foreign affairs, European affairs, justice, security and defense.

The lecture will focus on the role of Portugal in the European Union and the importance of transatlantic relations. The lecture is free and open to the public. Parking is $5 in Lots P5 and P6. Sponsored by FLAD, Portuguese Beyond Borders Institute, the College of Arts and Humanities, Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology and the College of Social Sciences.
