The Fresno State Winery will showcase eight new vintage wines at the Flavor of Fall event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 on the lawn next to the campus winery (2360 E. Barstow Ave). Guests can meet Fresno State viticulture and enology students and staff and sample the winery’s Uva Doce Port blend; 2017 editions of Petite Sirah and President’s Reserve Barbera and Syrah special release wines; and 2018 editions of Albarino, Syrah Rosé and Muscat Canelli early and late harvest wines.

In addition, guests can enjoy cheese, olive oil and sausage from the Gibson Farm Market. Tickets for the winery’s biggest event of the fall are $10 online in advance here or $15 at the event. Attendees are also welcome to sign up for the Fresno State wine club, which will host its members-only pick-up party at the same time at the winery barrel room.

This fall shipment will feature Albarino, President’s Reserve Barbera and Syrah, Saviez Syrah and Sergeant Zinfandel wines. Membership is free. A new shipment arrives every four months costing $45 to $60, which is 20% off the normal price. INFO: Fresno State Winery, 559.278.6070, winery_info@mail.fresnostate.edu.
