Cast members from the Good Company Players products of “Cats,” now on stage at Rocka’s Dinner Theater in Fresno, will provide entertainment at the fourth annual Secret Garden Party sponsored by the Arne Nixon Center Advocates (ANCA) on April 9.
The party will be from 3 to 5 p.m. in a Van Ness Extension-area garden. The location will be revealed to underwriters and ticket holders upon registration.
ANCA is the support group for the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature at California State University, Fresno.
This year’s Secret Garden Party theme is “Cats,” celebrating the recent gift to the Arne Nixon Center of the largest known collection of cat books in any library — more than 6,000 items donated in 2005 by the daughters of the late Helen Monnette Amestoy.
Party underwriters, who are sought, will receive tickets and acknowledgements in promotional materials for the event, which is ANCA’s major annual fundraiser. Profits benefit the Arne Nixon Center.
