The Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band will sell fireworks at two locations as a fundraiser, July 1-4. In Fresno, the stand will be at Brawley and McKinley avenues (west of Highway 99). In Clovis, it will be at Ashlan near Clovis Avenue in front of the 7-Eleven Food Store.

Both locations are open Sunday through Wednesday (July 1-4) from 8 a.m. to midnight.

A second fundraiser also will be held on Thursday, July 5, from 4-10 p.m. at the Carl’s Jr. at Shaw and Clovis avenues_ With a coupon that is available at the band’s Website, Carl’s Jr. will donate 25 percent of the coupon holder’s purchase to the band. Uniformed band members will be present in the parking lot to meet well-wishers and hand out coupons, as well.

Proceeds support the band’s upcoming fall recruiting trip to Reno Oct. 5-7 when the Bulldog Band will perform for high school audiences in both California and Reno. During the trip, the band will support the Bulldogs football team at the Oct. 6 game against the University of Nevada Wolfpack.

The Athletics Department also has a ticket package that allows fans to support the marching band. The package provides tickets to the game, support for a band member and a free CD of the Bulldog Marching Band. Check under tickets at gobulldogs.com for the packages that include “Band on the Road” to Nevada.
