The California State University, Fresno Air Force ROTC unit plans an all-night vigil in honor of National POW/MIA Recognition Day beginning at 6 p.m. today.

Two AFROTC cadets will guard a flame near the POW-MIA Memorial on the northwest corner of the North Gym (5305 N. Campus Drive. – access from Barstow Avenue, one street east of Cedar Avenue).

The vigil begins with a Formal Retreat Ceremony (lowering of the flag) involving the

entire AFROTC Detachment — 65 cadets in formation — at 6 p.m. A guard-changing ceremony will be conducted every hour until the vigil terminates with a Flag Raising and Reveille Ceremony at 7:45 a.m. Friday.

Public parking is available in Lot Q with a $3 one-day permit available at dispensers on Barstow. Parking in Lots Q, K and L is free between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. only.
