The Air Force ROTC at California State University, Fresno will take on a special cause Sunday – “Combating poverty and homelessness” – from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poverello House in downtown Fresno.

The public is invited to join the Fresno State cadets in this “battle,” which is part of a national campaign for the Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings

The cadets, who are members of the Robin Olds Squadron, Fresno State’s AFROTC chapter, will be volunteering, said event organizer and Fresno State student Andrea Jue.

The Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings are separate organizations whose partnership is based on their complementary missions. The main focus on the Arnold Air Society is to build officers for the United States Air Force. Silver Wings also focuses on leadership but works to develop strong civilian leaders with an understanding of aerospace power.
