The Hausmann Quartet, which enjoys a growing reputation just five years after its formation, brings a program of classical music to California State University, Fresno on Sunday, July 12, to begin the second half of the 2009 CSU Summer Arts program.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Concert Hall in the Music Building. It is presented in conjunction with California State University’s unique summer program that mixes public performance and artistic education in two-seek sessions each July.

The program is in its 24th year and its 11th in a row at Fresno State.

The Hausmann Quartet is composed of Isaac Allen and Bram Goldstein, violin, Angela Choong, viola, and Yuan Zhang, cello. Since forming at LyricaFest in New Jersey, the ensemble has gained recognition and critical acclaim throughout the United States at festivals, in concert performances and for teaching, especially, to children.

Tickets are $15-$25 and can be purchased noon-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday at the Fresno State Box Office in the Speech Arts Building, online at www.csusummerarts.org or by phone at 559.278.5109.
