Dr. William Rice, lead instructor for California State University, Fresno’s University Business Center’s Professional Business Training Program, will discuss ways to enhance marketing techniques for the family owned business at an Institute for Family Business program Oct. 7.

Rice will speak on “Vital Marketing: How to Motivate Your Sales People and Clients” from 4-6 p.m. in the University Business Center, Room 194. This discussion will center on a seven-point test that helps to evaluate clients, sales and support staff in creating a transaction.

Rice has been a faculty member in the Craig School of Business Marketing Department at Fresno State since 1983. He has been a consultant for more than 300 companies, including Microsoft, PG&E and Children’s Hospital Central California.

The Institute for Family Business is housed in the Craig School of Business.
