Jordan Ketscher, a California State University, Fresno agricultural business major from Squaw Valley, won four first-place awards including the men’s all-around at the Poly Royal Rodeo..

The Fresno State rodeo team finished with three award winners at the two-rodeo event at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

The men’s team tied for third place in the first rodeo and sixth in the second. The women’s team was sixth and seventh.

Ketscher won seven awards overall – coming first as a heeler in team roping, placing second in tie-down roping and fourth in steer wrestling on Day 1. On the second day, he won steer wrestling and team roping competitions.

Molly Seifert, a kinesiology major from Acampo, placed fourth in goat tying in the first rodeo.

Maria Valdez, an agricultural education and animal science pre-vet major from Bonsall, was sixth place in barrel racing in the second rodeo.
