The Fresno State team in Dr. William Rice’s Marketing 188 class attempting to make the world’s largest smoothie today, April 13, concocted 380 gallons of strawberry-orange goodness to unofficially break the record by 50 gallons. Starting at 9:32 a.m., the students and a team of volunteers completed the task at 12:43 p.m. They will submit evidence to Guinness for verification that Fresno State is the new smoothie champion. But first they headed to Chukchansi Park to distribute their smoothie at the Grizzlies’ opener, seeking donations to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.
