Marketing students’ event unofficially breaks uncorking wine record

Fresno State marketing students say 415 people uncorked bottles of wine within 30 seconds at an event organized by the students to break the world record for most people uncorking wine simultaneously. The record of 308 was eclipsed Friday, May 4, at Appellation: California near Madera. It was the last of seven attempts to break a world record by Fresno State marketing students this semester. Two other teams submitted claims to the Guinness World’s Record for verification that they set new standards for longest ice cream sundae and largest smoothie.
