Fresno State’s Department of Viticulture and Enology will be represented by 10 faculty, staff, students and alumni at the American Society of Enology and Viticulture’s National Conference Monday-Friday, June 18-22, in Portland, Ore. led by the research of Dr. Sanliang Gu, a viticulture professor. Dr. James Kennedy, department chair, is the society’s second vice president and alumnus John Clark is a director. Alumni Nick Dokoozlian of E&J Gallo Winery and Oren Kaye, of Constellation Wines, will be guest speakers. Research conducted by Fresno State graduate students David Langone, Brodie McCarthy and Joseph Geller, alumnus Sean Pinnell and former post-doctoral research associate Hemant Gohil will be on display as well.
