Classes begin for Fresno State’s fall semester Wednesday, Aug. 22. Other major events occur before then:

  • 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, Aug.16: Leaderpalooza, a new student leadership conference, brings together 100 students representing 17 campus clubs to discuss improving and enhancing the student experience at Fresno State. Various locations on campus.   • 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17: At the Fall Assembly in the Satellite Student Union, university President John D. Welty delivers his state-of-the-campus address to faculty and staff. Dr. William Covino, provost and vice-president for Academic Affairs, will speak at 9:45 a.m. at the Academic Assembly.
  • Aug. 18 and 19: University Courtyard move-in begins at the Residence Halls for the 1,000 students living on campus. (Media note; the move-in is on Saturday and Sunday this year. If you plan to cover, please email tomu@csufresno.edu).
