Fresno State’s Oktober Wellness Fest 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.23, will feature activities and alcohol safety information designed to help promote a campus culture of safe and responsible alcohol consumption. The event wraps up the university’s extended observance of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness (Oct. 21-27). Students have an opportunity to sign a memorial display for individuals who have lost their lives to alcohol-related accidents. Sponsors of activities are the University Health Center and the Drug and Alcohol Awareness and Wellness Guide (DAAWG) program, a peer education group that is a subcommittee of the campus Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Safety Council.
