Fresno State’s Henry Madden Library invites volunteers to serve as “book givers” for World Book Night, Apr. 23 which promotes reading in the community by giving out free books to those in need. Book givers receive 20 copies of a book selected from a specifically compiled list to give away to light or non-readers in the local community. Givers can select the Madden Library as the location where they would like to pick up their books. A reception for givers will be held, 2-4 p.m. Apr. 20 at the library entrance.
