The Fresno State Latin American Film Festival will  screen “Chinese Take Away” at 5:30 p.m.  Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Alice Peters Auditorium in the Peters Business Building. Award-winning Argentinian film  director Sebastian Borensztein tells the tale of two unlikely characters who seem to have nothing in common, not even a language, as they struggle to adjust to the unexpected turns of life. Discussants for the film will be Dr. Adán Avalos and Eduardo Stanley. Avalos is an artist/film scholar who teaches visual literacy in the Department of Art and Design at Fresno State. Stanley graduated from the National University of La Plata, Argentina, with a major in filmmaking before studing semiotics at the University of Bucharest in Romania.
