Fresno State’s MFA Program in Creative Writing and Fresno Poets’ Association will host a free reading event by Barbara Brinson Curiel at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31 in the Alice Peters Auditorium inside the Peters Business Building. Curiel will read from her manuscript, “Mexican Jenny and Other Poems” that won the 2012 Philip Levine Prize in Poetry. A reception will follow. Parking will be relaxed.
