The 12th Annual Mediator Appreciation Day from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Fresno State will recognize peer mediators, their teachers and mentors for their roles in helping resolve conflicts among students at local elementary schools. More than 1,000 elementary and middle school peer mediators will attend the event in the Satellite Student Union for what organizers call one of the largest gatherings of student conflict managers in the West. The opening ceremony will be 9:30-10:15 a.m. at Margie Wright Diamond (formerly Bulldog Diamond). Closing ceremony is 1-1:20 p.m. in the Peace Garden.
