Orientation for Fresno State’s projected 300 new international students is underway today (Aug. 13) in the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center (Woodrow and Shaw avenues). Presented by the International Student Services and Programs office of the Division of Academic Affairs, the orientation is from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. International students will meet university staff, learn about campus resources and attend workshops discussing issues like living and socializing in the U.S. and keeping safe, money matters and health insurance and services. Dr. Paul Hofmann, assistant vice president for international affairs, said this year’s total international enrollment will approach 700, with an additional 60 international students enrolled in the American English Institute.
