The Fresno State Student Health and Counseling Center will conduct a free training session, “Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR),” from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 in the Henry Madden Library, Room 2206. Participants will learn the common misconceptions about suicide, warning signs, how to talk about suicide, how to persuade someone to get help and how to refer someone to appropriate resources. Seating is limited and RSVP required. Project SAFE also seeks volunteers to serve as a resource to students in times of need and maintain familiarity with campus and community resources.
