The theme for Fresno State’s 2014 Homecoming Week is “Bulldog Country.” Events will be held on campus daily leading up to the football team’s homecoming game against San Jose State, Saturday, Nov. 8. The week will kickoff 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 with “Homecoming Roundup” at Memorial Court (south of the Kennel Bookstore) where students can play games, win prizes and meet the Fresno State equestrian team and their horses. The highlight of homecoming activities will be Friday, Nov. 7, with two big events: a free, public pep rally at 5:30 p.m. in the Red Lot of Bulldog Stadium (Cedar and Barstow) featuring the Fresno State Marching Band and a special performance by Whiskey Row, and the Top Dog Gala Awards at the Save Mart Center, also at 5:30 p.m. The week formally ends Sunday, Nov. 9 with the Bulldogs basketball home opener, a double-header at the Save Mart Center (the women’s team at 2 p.m. and men’s at 4 p.m.).
