The Holiday Gift Project Fundraiser at Fresno State was launched today (Nov. 6) to establish a library and provide new educational books for children and students at the Autism Center at Fresno State. Donors may give the gift of literacy this holiday season with their donations in any amount. A $10 donation can provide up to four books, said Bianca Mancilla, project coordinator for the Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning. The Richter Center is working with First Book Fresno for the drive. All proceeds will be used to purchase books. Donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be provided. Checks should be made payable to First Book Fresno and mailed to the Richter Center (5241 N. Maple Ave. M/S TA 120, Fresno, CA 93740-8027). Donations must be received by Dec. 3 to be used for this project. INFO: Mancilla at bmancilla@csufresno.edu or Trisha Studt at tstudt@csufresno.edu or call 559.278.7079.
