Fresno State is observing National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week through Monday, Nov. 24 to raise awareness about food insecurity on campus and in the surrounding community. From Tuesday, Nov. 18 to Friday Nov. 21, activities will be held in the Free Speech Area from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to collect personal hygiene products, blankets and food. On Saturday, Nov. 22 students, faculty, community experts and homeless individuals are invited to take part in a homeless simulation exercise at the Fresno Rescue Mission called, “One Night Without A Home.” The simulation is intended to raise awareness and advocacy for food and shelter insecurity issues.
