Fresno State’s CineCulture program will screen “The Pursuit of Happyness,” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6 in the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center as part of African People’s History Month. The film tells the true story of Chris Gardner, who in 1981 was homeless in San Francisco and raising his son as a single father. Faced with this adversity, Gardner strives to make a success of his life. Fresno State theater arts instructor Ed Emmanuel will lead a free, public discussion following the film.
