Former Fresno State softball star Gena Strang-Behrens will discuss her experience as a student-athlete and All American on “First Lady’s Focus,” a weekly program that airs Sundays at 10 a.m. on Fresno State’s radio station KFSR 90.7 FM. The public affairs program is co-hosted by Mary Castro, wife of President Joseph I. Castro, and Julie Logan, KFSR program director. It showcases the personal stories of faculty, staff, administrators, students, alumni, donors and other friends of the university. Strang-Behrens, who played softball from 1985-88 and was inducted into the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame, is currently executive assistant for University Advancement. She will discuss what it’s like to return to Fresno State and her role as the new president of Club Red, an association for former student-athletes. The show also is streamed online.
