The Most Reverend Armando X. Ochoa, D.D., bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno, will celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass at noon Feb. 18 in the Satellite Student Union at Fresno State to mark the beginning of the Season of Lent.
Following the Mass, a light lunch provided by the University President’s Office – lentil soup, artisan bread and bottled water — will be available for participants.
Sponsored by the Newman Catholic Student Association of Fresno State and the St. Paul Newman Center, the service is for faculty, staff and alumni but is open to the public.
