Abigail Hudson, 20, a junior political science major from Fresno (Bullard High School), was elected Fresno State’s student body president for 2015-16 after three days of online voting for Associated Student, Inc. positions.
Hudson, who served as the ASI’s executive vice president this past year, defeated Rafael Ruiz by a tally of 1,337 votes to 629, announced Dayana Jiselle Contreras, ASI elections commissioner.
Anthony Farnesi was elected vice president of finance and Kaitlyn Sims will serve as vice president of external affairs.
Voting began Tuesday and ended at noon today. The League of Women Voters tallied the ballots for ASI and verified the results at about 3:15 p.m.
