April is Autism Awareness Month and Fresno State will observe it with several events starting with the Women’s Softball Autism Awareness game at noon Sunday, March 29 at Margie Wright Diamond on campus (Barstow east of Cedar Ave.) that will promote the Autism Center @ Fresno State.

One of the center’s clients will throw out the first pitch, and facts about Autism and the services the center provides will be announced. Also, the center will raise funds by selling its commemorative Autism Awareness Month t-shirts for $15. Center staff will be at informational tables to answer questions.

Other events in April include the first Fun and Run 5k from 10 – 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25 also on campus. On April 11 the center will partner with the Fresno Grizzlies for Strike Out Autism. See: bit.ly/FSN-AutismMoRun15.

All proceeds raised during these events will go to a scholarship account to provide services for qualified children.

An announcement about future plans for the center will also be presented later in the month.
