TreeOfLife(September 10, 2015) – In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, the Fresno State student volunteer group Peer Ambassadors of Wellness (PAW) will be in the Free Speech Area from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. today (Sept. 10) providing information about suicide and its prevention.

They will display the Tree of Life and invite students to write messages of encouragement to individuals who may be struggling with thoughts of suicide.

They will also provide information about Question, Persuade & Refer (QPR) Trainings offered to Fresno State students, staff and faculty to learn to recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide offered through the Student Health & Counseling Center. The next training is 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.
