Suicide prevention training QPR is Oct. 7

The Student Health and Counseling Center is sponsoring a Question, Persuade & Refer (QPR) Training at Fresno State from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, in the Henry Madden Library, Room 2206. QPR trainees learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans help save the life of a friend, colleague, sibling or neighbor, said Melissa Norris, special projects coordinator for the on-campus Student Health and Counseling Center.
