The Department of Music’s Opera Theatre will present the British comedy “Albert Herring” at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 and Friday, Nov. 6 in the Wahlberg Recital Hall. “Albert Herring,” by composer Benjamin Britten, is about one boy’s revolt against his town for being named the May King after every girl nominee is deemed unfit for the title. The chamber opera is performed in three acts, staged with a piano. Tickets cost $10 for general, $8 for employees and seniors and $5 for students.
