Fresno State’s Fall Wellness Fair, “Building a Healthier You,” will be from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Satellite Student Union. Free flu shots will be available for students.

Presented by the Student Health and Counseling Center, the free student event is a collaboration with the Public Health Department that allows senior public health students to research a topic and educate their fellow Bulldogs at the information fair.

Students will also be able to visit campus and community resources such as the Student Cupboard and Student Recreation Center. Staff from the Student Health and Counseling Center will meet and greet attendees.

“We want to encourage our students to build healthier versions of themselves by participating in a variety of health assessments and experiential activities,” said Melissa Norris, coordinator for volunteer services in the Student Health and Counseling Center.

In addition to the flu shots, students can participate in a nutrition assessment, discover health-related resources and learn about a variety of topics from food security and stress management to cold and flu prevention and healthy relationships.
