Kong Pheng Yang, shaman and leader of the Yang clan in Fresno, will be the guest speaker at a workshop, “Shamanism: Religious Diversity Among the Hmong,” from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Henry Madden Library (Room 3212). Students and employees will gather to discuss the topic and Shamanism’s impact on identity, experience and practices in the Fresno State community. Dr. Malisa Lee, associate vice president for enrollment management, will moderate the free, public workshop that is presented by the Asian Pacific Islander Programs and Services and the Cross Cultural and Gender Center, a department within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.
