Fresno State’s 20th annual Cesar Chavez Garlanding Ceremony and Celebration will be 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at the monument that memorializes the late farmworker leader in the University’s Peace Garden.
The free, public event is presented by the Cross Cultural Gender Center with the Fresno State Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association and a committee of Chicano student organizations and other campus programs.
The event commemorates the March 31 state holiday celebrating the birthday of Chavez. The campus will be closed on that day in observance of the holiday.
