Ag Week 2016 at Fresno State winds down with three events March 18 and 19. From 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Friday, student members of Alpha Zeta Cal Epsilon will host an information booth at the 11th annual Fresno County Farm and Nutrition Day at the Fresno Fairgrounds. More than 3,500 Fresno Country third-grade students and teachers from 36 schools will take part in activities that showcase the agricultural industry and the benefits of healthy eating. National Poultry Day will be celebrated from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market with samples of chicken, chicken trivia, a chicken dance contest and a raffle to win a gift basket. On Thursday the market will also offer a 10 percent discount on select raisin products. The Fresno State Horticulture Nursery will host the Spring Break Veggie Plant Sale at the Gibson Farm Market from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday.
