Fresno State’s ongoing voter registration drive received a boost Tuesday when California Secretary of State Alex Padilla visited campus to encourage students and pose with Victor E Bulldog III.

Padilla, who is on a tour through the San Joaquin Valley making appearances for the state’s “Voter Education Weeks” initiative during the final two weeks of April, met Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro and students at the Smittcamp Alumni House.
The Maddy Institute at Fresno State has been conducting voter registration drives on campus throughout the year while working with political science students and Professor Lisa Bryant on an activities calendar leading up to the general election in November.
