Student tickets for $10 are available for the new “Fiesta for Elders” fundraiser that will benefit Elder Abuse Services, Inc. (EASI) of Fresno and Madera counties from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at LoMac Winery (2674 N. Westlawn Ave.). Fresno State criminology students serve internships with the nonprofit statewide alliance that provides community education programs on elder abuse and promotes policy and practice to improve the lives of vulnerable and abused adults across the state. Their training entails a 20-hour elder abuse training course. Lisa Nerenberg, executive director of the California Elder Justice Coalition, is the guest speaker for the event that will feature Fresno State’s Mexican folkloric dance troupe Los Danzantes de Aztlán, music, winetasting, a dinner and a silent auction. Tickets are available at www.easi-fresno.org/#!events/c603. INFO: John Dussich at 559.278.6046 or jdussich@csufresno.edu.
