Fresno State’s flags are posted at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Friday, Sept. 30, in support of a proclamation issued by U.S. President Barack Obama to commemorate the life of Shimon Peres, the former president and prime minister of Israel who died Sept. 28. The order is in effect at all three flag installations on campus (Veterans Monument by Thomas Building, Save Mart Center and North Gym as well as Fresno State athletic venues where feasible).
