The Live Well Lecture Series continues at Fresno State from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, with Dr. Barbara Ainsworth of Arizona State University discussing “Couch Potatoes, Scurriers and Weekend Warriors: How to Enhance Health and Avoid Premature Mortality” in the North Gym (Room 118). The free, public event is co-sponsored by the College of Health and Human Services and the Department of Kinesiology. Ainsworth, a regents’ professor of exercise science and health promotion, will discuss how to avoid inactivity by promoting physical activity, health and well-being. She has nearly 300 published articles relating to her research in physical activity and public health.
