The University’s Latina/o Faculty and Staff Association (LFSA) issued a statement today commending Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro for reaching out to support students who feel affected by the Presidential election, especially Dreamer (undocumented) students. The statement said members pledge “to do everything in our power to ensure a safe environment on our college campus that is conducive to achieving academic success and community progress.” LFSA President Dr. Victor Olivares also commended students who organized and participated in a rally and march called “Reject Hate” at Fresno State today, and a similar event planned for Tuesday.
