Fresno State’s CineCulture film series presents “The Destruction of Memory” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in the Peters Education Center Auditorium. The film (81 minutes) traces the war against culture and the battle to save it. Over the past century, cultural destruction has wrought catastrophic results across the globe, including Armenia, Germany, Hungary, Bosnia, Mali and more. Director Tim Slade will lead the post-screening discussion. Co-sponsors are the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures and Phebe Conley Classics Endowment.
