Human Rights Day will be observed at Fresno State with guest speaker Dr. Robert P. Sellers, board chair of the Parliament of The World’s Religions, and a panel on the Refugee Crisis and Human Rights: Global and Local Perspectives, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the North Gym (Room 118). Sellers is a professor of theology at Hardin-Simmons University in Texas and his work emphasizes cross cultural living, global Christianity and liberation theologies. The free, public event is presented by the Human Rights Coalition of the Central Valley, the Ethics Center at Fresno State and the Fresno County Office of Education. Parking is free on weekends.
