Wine and Chocolate Lover’s Day at the Fresno State Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.) will offer shoppers chocolate samples and discounted prices from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. Free samples will include dark chocolate cabernet truffles, white chocolate cherry cheesecake truffles and milk chocolate raisins made by the campus food processing lab. All chocolate candy will be discounted 15 percent from Feb. 11 through 15, including new products such as white chocolate cinnamon almonds, chocolate pistachio almond bark and white chocolate dipped Oreos. Fresno State enology students will pour samples for customers 21 and older of five red and white wines: Muscat Canelli, Petite Sirah, Pinot Noir, Uva Doce and Zinfandel. Customers can also buy a $10 wristband at the farm market to sample wine at 16 other area locations from 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 11-12 that are part of the Fresno County Wine Journey’s Wine and Chocolate Lovers Weekend.
