Fresno State’s student-funded and operated newspaper, The Collegian, won 18 awards at the 2017 California College Media Association Conference in San Francisco Saturday. Diana Giraldo, The Collegian’s editor in chief, said the awards included three first place honors: Best Sales Promotional Material (Collegian Fall 2016-Spring 2017 Advertising Media Kit); Best Headline Portfolio (Jenna Wilson) and Best Newspaper Inside Page/Spread Design (Juan Alvarez).
